Maxwell Kofi Jumah, a prominent member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), has accused some party executives of defrauding the party of funds intended for elections and party activities. He said he becomes irate whenever he witnesses them acting as though nothing occurred because they have not been exposed.
If such CEOs approach Mr. Jumah to campaign on their behalf, he has threatened to embarrass them, requesting that they come in humility and apologize to the entire party.
“I get so angry when I see party executives who duped the party of funds meant for party activities and elections. What missed me even more is when they parade themselves as if they are smart and we are fools, simply because they have not been confronted openly yet and walk around with arrogance.
Their time is coming soon. They should not come close to me and plead that I campaign for them. I will make sure they lose and are disgraced. Let them come with humility and apologise to everybody. Thieves,” Mr Jumah wrote on social media.
Although the identities of the executives are unknown, several executives, particularly at the national level, have been held accountable for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2024 General Election defeat for not living up to expectations.
