The Koforidua Area Women’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost has distributed a total of 2,928 pieces of sanitary pads to adolescent girls in the area.
This generous donation aims to promote menstrual hygiene among these girls and is part of the activities planned to celebrate the International Day of the Girl.
The International Day of the Girl, observed globally on October 11th, serves as a platform to advocate for the complete spectrum of girls’ rights.
As part of their continued observance of this important day, the Koforidua Area Women’s Ministry of The Church of Pentecost has extended a helping hand by providing the 2,928 sanitary pads to different districts of the church in the area, all to be distributed to the adolescent girls within the congregation.
Deconess (Dr) Mrs.Ansah Aku Yirenkyi Antwi, Women’s Leader said the empowering gesture by the Women’s Ministry is a significant step toward enhancing the well-being and dignity of these young girls.
The initiative she said demonstrates commitment of The Church of Pentecost to contribute to the betterment and holistic growth of teenage.
According to her women’s leaders in the various districts have been tasked to embarked on menstrual hygiene education for the adolescent girls.
