Assembly member for Ada-Magazine in the New Juaben South Municipality is appealing to the MCE, Isaac Apaw Gyasi over abandoned toilet facilities in the area.
According to Freeman Kwajo Gadri, residents have resorted to defecating in black polythene bags and later throwing them into gutters.
He is, however, calling on authorities to act swiftly before it causes health implications to the people.

2OTH OCTOBER, 2023
PETITION FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE ADA/MAGAZINE PUBLIC TOILETS.
Our new toilets stands idle and incomplete due factors unknown to us. On behalf of the youth of Ada-Magazine and our elderly, I would like to draw your attention to it for intervention because we are suffering honorable.
As a long standing resident of this community I can confirm to you that some of our people still deficate in buses and plastic bags which are latter thrown around at night as most inhabitants are unable to afford the construction of private toilets. This practice you will agree has serious negative consequences on our lives if not checked. We still have people who rely on the stream in the community but runoff may carry these faecal matter into the water body and contaminate it. The completion of the project will create jobs and raise revenue for subsequent developments in the community. In all humility Hon. Ike come to our aid.
Yours Sincerely,
Freeman Kojo Gadri.
