Koforidua- Bonya traditional council is expected to perform rituals and pour libation in “shit bombed” King of Glory Presbyterian Basic School in Bonya a suburb of New Juaben South Municipality of the Eastern Region.
Dademantse Seylo Nene Kwasi Danor explained that the pouring of the libation is not only to cleans the school but invoke a curse on the perpetrators should they fail to avail themselves.
The King of Glory Presbyterian Basic School in Bonya a suburb of Koforidua the Eastern Regional Capital was temporarily shut down after a “shit bomb “attack on the school Monday morning.
The closure was to enable the affected classrooms to be cleaned and disinfected before academic work resumes.
Teachers and pupils of the school became stranded Monday morning after some unknown persons “shit bombed” the school.
The perpetrators used human feces to smear the doors and windows of the Head teacher’s office as well as the walls of the JHS classrooms.
They also used the feces to write names of three teachers – “Master, Judith, and Polo” in what appears to be a threat to the teachers.
The incident affected academic work as the entire teachers decided to withdraw from teaching until the perpetrators are arrested and dealt with.
The Assembly Member for the area Edward Brobbey Gyesi Mensah told mybrytfmonline.com that, Management of the school suspects three JHS students recently sent home by the headmaster to bring their parents over body bleaching.
The Assembly member condemned the act and assured of helping to bring the perpetrators to book.
Meanwhile, some of the stranded students say they were supposed to write a class test and mock examination Monday morning but for the incident.
After a crunch meeting by Teachers, the community, Ghana Education Service, and officials from Presbyterian Education Unit, they resolved that the students be closed to go home as the Community contract Zoomlion Company Limited to clean and disinfect the school.
Meanwhile, one of the suspect students has been arrested to assist Police in the investigation.
