A butcher at Agatha market, a suburb of Koforidua in the New Juaben South municipality is battling for his right eye after an attack on him.
Mohammed Abubakari, the victim, was said to have been attacked by a Nigerian by name Mustapha, over a struggle for a space.
The suspect is said to have hit the right eye of the victim twice with a bunch of keys he was holding.
Speaking to the victim, he told Bryt fm news that it was a retired lawyer who came to his rescue and even secured a form from the police for him(victim) to go to the hospital.
Mustapha Abubakari has since been discharged from the hospital but has been ordered to come for regular check ups.
The matter is expected to be taken to court on 5th February, 2024 with the suspect given bail.
Meanwhile, the victim is looking for the whereabout of the retired lawyer who rescued him since there was no exchange of contact at the time of the incident.
“I am looking for the retired lawyer to thank him for saving me. He also showed interest in the matter so I want to see him to even be a witness to the case” the victim narrated to Bryt fm’s Kwabena Nyarko Abronoma.
