A 33-year-old man has drowned in Densuano, a suburb of New Juaben South Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The driver reportedly went swimming in the river.
The body of the deceased identified as Christopher Ahadzi was retrieved on Thursday, April 2, 2020, by local divers after a long search with support from personnel from Ghana Police Service, and National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO).
His body has since been deposited at the mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
Mercy Ofori, a Zonal Director of NADMO sadly revealed that five drowning incidents have been recorded in the area within three months.
