“I met this 13-year-old girl at Koforidua/Accra lorry terminal hawking despite suffering serious scald injury on both feet.
She tells me she was injured after hot water accidentally poured on her feet. The injured feet were red with the skin peeling.
The wounds are not healed but the Mother forced this young girl to hawk lime at the lorry terminal. This girl was gaiting with severe pain visible on her face.
She sat a few times at a corner to sell the lime as she struggles to move around. I wanted to see the mother but she told me the mother is not around that will return home in the evening” The Journalist Obed Kojo Ansah narrated.
