Rev. Dr. Moses K. Torkudzor of the Global Evangelical church, Nissi Chapel at Magazine has re-echoed the for religious bodies to support the well being of the people in their various communities.
According to him, the church comprises of people in our communities, hence the need to acknowledge their social responsibility at all times.
Speaking at a presentation of hospital equipment and toiletries to the Magazine CHPS compound, Rev Dr Torkudzor emphasized that health needs of the people remain paramount and therefore, thought it important to provide the health facility with the needed support to ensure good quality health care is achieved.
He assured staff of the facility the church’s commitment to good health care and hoped for better collaboration in the coming years.
Staff of the facility expressed gratitude to the church and used the opportunity to appeal to other religious groups and benevolent associations to consider supporting the Magazine CHPS compound to make it standard as expected.
The CHPS compound takes care of residents of Magazine, Ada, Aboabo and other surrounding communities in the New Juaben South municipality of the Eastern region.
Items presented includes; gloves, plasters, weighing scales, bags of sachet waters, toilet rolls, liquid soap, antiseptics and others.
