Many are those who could not control their tears after hearing the sudden death of Station Officer in Charge of Central Police Station in Koforidua, Chief Inspector Ebenezer Sakyi, in the early hours of Friday, May 29, 2020.
He passed on Friday, May 29, 2020, after a short illness.
According to sources, he died while on admission at the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua.
The sudden death of Chief Inspector Sakyi has thrown the entire Police station into a state of mourning.
The affable Police officer who discharged his duties to the admiration of all includes clients who reported cases at the Police Station.
Chief Sakyi was honored by the Police Administration a few years ago together with then Municipal Police Commander Richardson Kumeko for refusing huge bribe offered them by the suspect arrested in Koforidua for attempting to smuggle quantities of Marijuana to the Central region.
