The District Minister and Minister in Charge of Ascension Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Koforidua Rev.Justice Kwame Asumeng has warned that begining next academic year he will drive away school children who wear wretched school uniforms to school.
He observed that, School children have been wearing inappropriate school uniforms blaming some parents for shirking their responsibility at home leaving their children to their fate.
Rev. Asumeng said this when ministering at carols night organized by the Eastern regional Coordinating Council on Thursday December 23, 2023.
Rev. Asumeng was worried about high indiscipline in society which has led the youth to go astray.
He cited increasing indecent dressings by the youth, and littering of the environment as a phenomenon which must be nipped in the bud.
The Reverend Minister urged the Eastern Regional Minister to leave a lasting legacy in the region that will spur development.
He called for collective effort to build strong institutions such as the chieftaincy institution to enable its assume its traditional powers to put to check some ills in society.
The Eastern regional Minister Seth Kwame Acheampong was grateful to God for peace and stability and development of the region.
The Minister said as part of agenda to beautify Koforidua, some institutional buildings will be painted and environment greened to enable the region continue to serve as tourism destination and conference hub.
He charged MMDA’s to update their by-laws to punish persons who breach sanitation guidelines.
Seth Kwame Acheampong tauted achievements of the government so far in the region hoping that measures put in place to address the current economic crises will restore the economy to prosperity for Ghana to be on its development path to improve the living standards of the people.
