The Eastern Regional branch of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) has fellowship and extended its yearly charitable gesture to nursing mothers, babies born on Christmas Day and patients at the Eastern Regional Hospital Koforidua Central Hospital on Christmas day.
On Thursday 25th December, 2025 , the church congregation led by the Eastern Regional Overseer and also the Head Pastor for ICGC Jesus Temple in Koforidua Rev. Dickson Sarpong Tuffour visited the various units of the labour and surgical wards fellowship with them and fed them with hot meals with bottled water.
During the visit to the labour wards , the team used the opportunities to pray for 6 newly babies born on Christmas day at the hospital including two in intensive care.
The Eastern Regional Overseer of ICGC Rev. Dickson Sarpong Tuffour in an interview described the visit and the gesture of the church as faith fully built and backed by the birth of the saviour Jesus Christ.
According to him, “we come here to celebrate with them especially for people who are sick , people who don’t have anybody caring for them, we show them love and most of them right after this they give their lives to Christ and follow us to our churches”

“At least it gives a lot of them hope that though they are in such a weak place and they are going through all kinds of problems they have hope for the future, one of the most important thing is to give hope to the hopeless”
Rev. Dickson Sarpong Tuffour further admonished that the celebration of Christmas must be a reflection of love, forgiveness , and giving.
He said “the birth of Jesus is predicated on the love of God , so if there is anything we will do in Christmas is to love ourselves and love the people who have done us evil, if we want to avenge people is going to hurt us more”
“I want to plead with everybody that if anybody has done anything against you forgive that person and move on and in fact even show them love because Jesus said give to those who even hurt you, Christmas is about love and forgiveness” he stressed further.

A Paediatrician Specialist at the Koforidua Central Hospital Dr. Joycelyn Gyapomaa Assibey on behalf of the hospital expressed gratitude to ICGC for putting smiles on the faces of nursing mothers and patients who are on admission at the hospital.
Dr. Joycelyn Gyapomaa Assibey revealed how challenging and difficult it is for many nursing mothers and patients to settle their bills hence remain detained at the hospital.
She however appealed to NGOs, philanthropist and individuals to come to the aid of the detained patients at the hospital.
