Linda Dor restaurant in the Eastern Regional capital has increased prices of meals and drinks served at the restaurant in Koforidua and Bunso junction due to the rising cost of production.
The restaurant has posted notices on its doors and walls and placed the same on the tables of customers to this effect.
“Dear valued customer, Kindly note that there will be slight increases in our prices due to the current rising cost of production. We appreciate your understanding. Thank you”.
Linda Dor restaurant is known for its sumptuous local and continental menu.
It is also into the production of pastries.
Food delivery by the restaurant is no more free. The restaurant now charges Ghc3 cedis for delivery services within Koforidua due to a hike in fuel prices in Ghana.
The cost of food items has increased significantly in Ghana as inflation hits 37.2% in the month of September.
The Eastern Region maintained its lead as the region with the highest inflation rate among the 16 regions in the country with a percentage of 47.1 above the national inflation rate of 37.2% in September.
President Akufo Addo on Sunday, October 24, 2022, met some market queens in the region in Koforidua to climax his three-day tour.
The meeting was to understand the challenges facing the market women leading to rising in prices of goods.
Some of the market Queens in Koforidua Central market alleged Kalabule era is back as everyone is increasing prices on his or her own due to the fast depreciation of the local currency hence calling on the government to set up a task force for price control.
They also want the President to be addressing the country on the economic quagmire to inspire hope.
Meanwhile, President Akufo Addo is expected to address the nation on Sunday, September 30, 2022.
