A 28-year-old Teacher of Oti Boateng Senior High School in Koforidua the Eastern Regional capital has been found dead in his room in a house opposite Ascension congregation of the Presbyterian Church.
A relative of the deceased Ama Bruwah, 58, reported to police on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at about 5:00pm that she visited her Nephew Kofi Ofori, but noticed that the room was locked besides several calls have gone unanswered.
According to her, the stench from the room suggested he might be dead in the room.
The tenants in the house have also said, the deceased teacher has last seen three days ago that they have also been observing stench and flies come out of his room.
Police from the Central Police command went to the house and forcibly opened the room only to find the Teacher lying motionless in a prone position bare-chested on a student mattress on the ground.
Police observed the body had turned blackish, with blood from the mouth and decomposing.
The body was conveyed to the Morgue for preservation and autopsy.
The Acting Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, Sargeant Francis Gomado told mybrytfmonline.com that, the investigation is ongoing.
