A Pastor identified as Pastor Addo Gyimah, 43, has been put before Koforidua Magistrate Court “B” also known as Cocoase Court for washing the vagina, stimulating the clitoris of her church member, and having anal sex with her.
The Pastor has been charged with two counts of indecent assault and unnatural carnal knowledge.
The Prosecuting officer Chief Inspector Hayford Osei is that, in August 2020, the 20-year-old complainant (name withheld) who is an apprentice at Akyem Awenade, and her family started attending prayer service at the accused Parson’s Nyame Ne Hene Prayer center at Akyem Banso.
The Prosecutor said, on October 13, 2020, at about 4:30 am after an All-Night service, revealed to the victim that his chronic illness had spiritual underpinnings, therefore, requires spiritual cleansing to cast out the demons, therefore, asked the victim to come to his house for spiritual direction.
The accused obliged, when he got to the house, the Pastor pulled anointing oil and holy water and asked the victim to lie down so that he wash his vagina with it.
The convict was initially refused by the Pastor convinced her to comply.
In the process of washing the vagina, the accused person fingered the complainant and stimulated the clitoris.
The accused Pastor allegedly forced the victim and had anal sex with her.
The Pastor warned the victim not to inform anyone that whenever she does will either die or go mad.
Out of fear, the victim did not inform anyone but after few days began bleeding from the anus hence confided in the husband of his sister who advised that former complaint is lodged at the Police station.
On October 15, 2020, the case was reported to Police and a medical form was issued to the victim for medical treatment.
The accused person was arrested by Police on October 19, 2020, but the accused person denied fingering and having anal sex with the victim but said he only massaged the body of the victim during the ritual.
Police charged the accused after further investigation and put him before Court.
He was remanded to reappear on April 27, 2021.
