Residents of Koforidua Oyoko are fuming over a despicable and unprofessional action of the Effiduase Police during a suicide incident in the community involving an agent of Qnet.
The angry residents have accused the police of abandoning the dead body on the streets over the lack of a vehicle.
The landlord on whose land the body was dumped also protested for the body to be moved from his land.
The situation forced the Assemblywoman for the area to hire a motorized tricycle popular known as Aboboyaa to convey the body to the morgue to prevent the dead body from decomposing on the streets.
The assembly member spent about Ghc400 covering transportation and mortuary processes fees before depositing the body at the morgue.
Meanwhile, the Effiduase District Police Command is still looking forward to identifying the Qnet Agent who committed suicide.
The family of the deceased is yet to show up to identify and claim the body.
The young man alleged to be an independent representative of a network marketing company, Qnet, committed suicide by hanging on a tall tree.
The deceased, whose name is yet to be known, was found hanging on the tree by residents.
The residents alleged he came to the area last year to work as a Qnet agent.
The cause of his action is not known.
Information gathered indicates that, a few days before his death, there was serious confusion at the Qnet office.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue pending autopsy and identification by Police.
Qnet has over 350,000 agents operating as independent representatives in Ghana with offices across the country without any form of supervision.
However, the company has been accused of using dubious means to defraud thousands of people across the country and held many victims hostage.
