The Acting Medical Director of the Eastern Regional Hospital, Dr. Cardinal Newton has called on cooperate bodies to help refurbish the Children’s ward and equip it with modern facilities to serve the health needs of the people.
He said the ward has not been rehabilitated or expanded four years after Joy industries aided the hospital.
Dr. Newton made these remarks at the commissioning of a special ward refurbished by citizens of Koforidua but now residing in the United State of America (USA).
“I will call on cooperate bodies to come to our aid. There are a lot of things the hospital need but as I speak one main important thing we will want to do is the renovation of the children’s ward because it is not in a good state” he said.
“We are organizing ourselves to renovate the ward but we will not hesitate if individuals or companies decide to do it for us. We will be happy even if cooperate bodies decides to refurbish of the ward for us. Four years ago, Joy Industries Limited and Bryt FM subsidiary of Joy Daddy Multimedia did it for us but it has become necessary for us to do it again” he emphasized.
He affirmed that refurbishing the ward has become their major priority and is entreating Ghanaians particularly corporate bodies to help in that regard.
