Some roads in Koforidua, the Eastern Regional capital has seen facelift attributed to the royal burial of the late Paramount Chief and Queen mother, Daasebre Oti Boateng and Nana Yaa Dani II.
The Traditional leaders were laid to rest on Monday after a royal burial ceremony that started on Friday, 16th May 2022.
The ceremony brought a high powered delegation to Koforidua, including President Akufo-Addo, Vice President, Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu, ministers of state, diplomats and well-wishers across the country.
Road networks from B-foster to Effiduase, Old Estate junction, and many other town roads with potholes and in the poor state were all seen repaired.
Some residents are not surprised at the way the roads were hurriedly attended to despite numerous earlier appeals made to authorities.
However, they were happy authorities used the opportunity to repair the roads as it has ended the problems drivers and passengers go through.
