The poor state of a wooden bridge at Dabi Asem, a suburb of Asokore in the New Juaben North Municipality of the Eastern Region poses a great danger to residents, mybrytfmonline can confirm.
Sources revealed that the wooden bridge replaced a concrete one which was destroyed due to heavy downpour about four years.
Residents complained that the bad nature of the bridge has affected transportation as residents find it difficult in terms of moving from one place to another.
Asokore SDA Pastor, Mr Eshun indicated to the reporter that, it took the mercy of the church to construct the wooden bridge to ease the difficulties encountered by residents.
He added that students find it difficult to use the bridge whenever there is a heavy downpour thereby forcing them to use a different far route.
Pastor Eshun, however, appealed to the Assembly and other stakeholders to assist the community with a concrete bridge before the rains sets in to avert any unforeseen incident.
