Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, Michael Okyere Baafi has lauded current NPP government for the massive development in the constitueny since coming into office in 2017.
During an interview with Okyere Baafi on BRYT Adekye Mu Sem with host Kwamina Sam Biney on Thursday October 17,2024, the legislator made this assertion that since he was elected as an MP, he has aid in construction and reshaping of roads in many communities within the constituency in just four (4) years.
“Ever since I was voted into power by the good people of New Juaben South, I have constructed good roads in the inter communities of my constituency which has brought safety to both drivers and commuters. Drivers hardly go to mechanic shops because they drive on good roads now. Commuters enjoy the road because they get their destinations on time. I promise to do more if voted into power again on December 7”.
Aside roads, he also mentioned distribution of computers to schools within the constituency which he believes has assisted both teachers and students in research and studies without a cost.
“Education is key in every aspect of life and now that technology is taking over, we need to get materials which will help our children to meet the new phase of life. And for this reason computers are essential. I have distruvted many computers to some basic schools in my constituency. This will assist them in research so they can compete with the modern world.”
Touching on security, Hon. Baafi affirmed that he has contributed to the construction of an Osabene police station for the benefit of his fellow citizens in New Juaben. Even though he didn’t initiate it, he joined the others in building it out of concern for his community.
“I would undertake more developmental project at Koforidua as the level they all demand. Only ungrateful people would say that, they were not pleased with me and NPP performance, they had done at New Juaben.”He stated.
