Former Ghana international Edward Agyemang Duah has accused both Kotoko and Hearts of Oak players of being lazy.
The two most glamourous clubs have underperformed in both CAF Champions League and Confederations in recent times.
Kotoko is the last club to reach the money zone of the CAF Confederations Cup in 2019.
According to Duah, who featured for both Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, the current crop of players at their folds are lazy, hence their lackluster performance on the continent.
“Current players of both Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are not serious. During our time, there was a lot of competition, players were committed, disciplined and united. Above all, we were serious and trained harder which yielded results” he told Nyce FM in an interview.
“Truth be told, the players at the moment are lazy and that is why they are unable to perform in Africa” he said.
Agyemang Duah was part of the Black Stars squad that represented Ghana as both 1994 and 1998 Africa Cup of Nations.
