Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng is expected to join Hertha Berlin teammates on Thursday, July 1, 2021, for preseason.
Boateng, who sealed a move to the German Bundesliga last week has been working as a pundit for Germany TV station ARD at the Euro 2020 Championship.
The attacking midfielder signed a contract running until 2022 as he returns to the boyhood club.
Hertha Berlin is set to commence their preseason training on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, with about 300 supporters expected to watch the opening training despite the coronavirus pandemic.
It was unclear whether the Ghanaian forward will take part in the opening training due to his role as a TV pundit at the Euro 2020 Championship.
But it has been confirmed the former Barcelona star will be available since he will only work as a TV expert in the ARD studio in Cologne until Tuesday evening, not until the end of the European Championship.
He will take part in all units in the one-week training camp in Neuruppin (from Thursday).
The club will play two games, against state division SV Schwarz-Rot Neustadt on Thursday and against Brandenburg division MSV Neuruppin (July 7th).
