Hellen Adwoa Ntoso, member of parliament (MP) of Krachi West constituency, has issued a stern warning to boat operators in her constituency to desist from overloading their vessels.

She stressed that adherence to safety protocols, including not loading above the designated capacity line, is crucial to preventing such accidents in the future.
The MP has also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Vice president, Professor Nana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, for rushing to the constituency to mourn with the families of the victims of the latest boat tragedy.
She commented the Veep gesture as a demonstration of the government’s commitment to caring for its citizens, particularly in times of distress.
She noted that the Veep presence brought solace to the bereaved families and the entire constituency.
