Management of Koforidua Technical University (KTU) has set up a Committee under the Chairmanship of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor John Owusu to oversee all activities regarding COVID-l 9 on Campus.
Among the mandate of the committee is to formulate and implement internal measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus to the University even as the University remains closed to students.
A Statement issued by Victoria A. Kuusangyele -Head of Public Relations and Protocol Department on behalf of the Registrar said, following the distribution of nose masks to its staff, Members of the University community and the general public who come to campus without nose masks would be denied entry.
This directive came into force effective May 18, 2020.
In addition to the compulsory use of nose masks, management has also taken the following steps to prevent the spread of the disease on campus.
“The University has effectively closed all entry points except the main gate for effective monitoring, checking of the temperature of Stuff, students and the general public at the main gate provision of Veronica Buckets with soap and sanitizers at strategic locations on campus and Fumigation of the university.”
