Ghanaian singer KiDi has reacted to the recent trolling on Instagram concerning his colleague Kuami Eugene’s award as the Artiste of the Year.
According to him, he does not understand why people believe that his record label partner does not deserve the award.
Kuami Eugene who won the Artiste of the Year at the just ended VGMA has been punched verbally on social media by some Ghanaians who believe he didn’t deserve the award.
During an interview, the “Cinderella” hitmaker disclosed that Kuami Eugene has really worked hard and surely deserves the award.
He added that Kuami Eugene may look like a small boy as some people say, but he is very hardworking and deserves the needed recognition.
“People sometimes overlook his work. They sometimes feel he is a small boy, but he works really hard”.
He expressed how proud he was of his colleague for winning such a category and congratulated him.
“I am so proud of him, he’s done amazing. I just want to say a big congratulation to him again. We are all proud of him.”
KiDi disclosed that he doesn’t encourage people to compare the both of them because they shine differently and have different styles.
He added that initially, he didn’t understand why people felt the need to compare both artists from Lynx Entertainment but gradually he accepted to live with it.
“First, I didn’t get it; I am like why are you people comparing? Can you let just everybody shine? And [then] I realized comparison is everywhere in the world, people compare Coke and Pepsi, people compare Club and Star [beer]. People compare everything. It is human nature to compare”, he added.
