New Patriotic Party Parliamentary candidate, Ernest Yaw Anim has been declared winner in the Kumawu by-election held on Tuesday.
The MP-elect secured 15, 262 out of the total votes cast, representing 70.91% with the NDC candidate, Kwasi Amankwaa also secured votes of 3, 723 which represents 17.29%.
However, both the other two independent candidates were able to amass over 11% of the total votes cast.
The seat became vacant after the demise of the late MP, Philip Basoah who was buried last Saturday.
