Queen Mother of Kwabenya Traditional Area, Naa Korkoi Djugbatey (II) has invoked a curse on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for GA East, Hon. Elizabeth Kaakie Mann and the Municipal Assembly for interfering in Kwabenya market lands.
The MCE and the Municipality incurred the wrath of the traditional leaders in Kwabenya after ordering the custodians of lands in Kwabenya to demolish their shrine close to the market.
This decision according to the traditional rulers in the area goes against their norms and traditions.
They are alleging that the Assembly has no authority over them to take their land and asking them to destroy their shrine.
Speaking to the press, the Queen mother emphasised the MCE leading the Assembly has no right to decide what goes on and what must be done at the Kwabenya market, adding that, the Assembly has no power to put up a structure on the land without consulting Nananom as the custodians of the land.
Nana Korkoi Djugbatey (II), Queen-mother of Kwabenya Traditional Area has confirmed that indeed, they have invoked a curse on the MCE and the Assembly and warned to pursue the matter spiritually.
