The Kwahu East District Chief Executive Hon Isaac Agyapong on Wednesday 6th August 2020, commissioned 5 mechanized boreholes constructed by the Bryan Acheampong Foundation(BAF).
The communities that benefited from the said project includes, Dwerebease, Bokuruwa, Abetifi, Nkwatia and Pepease.
A short ceremony was organized at Dwerebease to Commission all the five projects.
According to Hon Isaac Agyapong, the move has become necessary to address the acute water shortage in the selected communities.
Residents in the five communities who expressed appreciation to Hon Bryan Acheampong, MP for Abetifi Constituency noted that previously they were left with no option but to trek miles to access water from rivers that are fast drying up.
‘With this borehole, we can have immediate access to portable drinking water without travelling on foot for miles’
