The Kwahu East District Assembly in the Eastern Region was adjudged the overall best district in the 2021 Eastern Regional Annual Progress Report.
In a document cited by Bryt Fm Reporter, Evans Boateng, the office of the Eastern Regional Co-ordinating Council (ERCC) received feedback from the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), on the 33 Annual Progress Reports(APRs) submitted by Municipal and District Assemblies in the Eastern Region.
The Kwahu East District Assembly topped the Region; the district lead by Hon Isaac Agyapong was graded as very good representing 3.0% of the total reports. The district was the only one graded as very good.
Nine municipal and district assemblies were graded as good representing 27.3%.
The remaining twenty-three Municipal and District Assemblies representing 57.6% were graded as either average or below average.
The Kwahu East District Assembly is one of the 33 assemblies in the East that performed creditably in infrastructure, social development, and improvement of peoples’ living standards for the past years.
For almost five years now, under the auspices of Hon. Isaac Agyapong, the district assembly has undertaken more than 200 infrastructures and social development projects in education, health, agriculture, sanitation, housing, water, and roads.
