As we are approaching Easter, the Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh has warned that they will not allow unregistered motorcycles and vehicles to enter the event grounds.
DSP Ebenezer Tetteh affirmed that they are going to create two-way entry and exit points in the Nkawkaw area to enhance smooth travelling.
“Police officers will be deployed both uniformed and plain-clothed to provide security during the Easter festivity,” he told the press.
“Those coming from Nkawkaw to the event grounds will be using the Atibie roads. And those exiting are going to use the Obomeng route,” said DSP Ebenezer Tetteh.
DSP Ebenezer Tetteh also disclosed that the regional deployment will be assisted by the National Headquarters and some other regions.
As the country has aimed to battle the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), the government has banned the annual Kwahu Easter Festival for two years.
