Nkosuohene of Kwahu Nkwatia, Nana Owiredu Wadie I , has donated food items to over 500 widows, the aged, and persons with disabilities in the Kwahu Nkwatia community of the Kwahu East District in the Eastern Region
The gesture, undertaken through his charity organization,Kabaka Foundation, forms part of Nana Owiredu Wadie’s commitment to supporting the vulnerable and relieving them from hardship.
The donation included bags of rice, cooking oil, canned fish, tin tomatoes, and live chickens.
These items were distributed to ensure the beneficiaries begin the year with smiles.
Speaking on behalf of Nana Owiredu Wadie, the Executive Director of the Kabaka Foundation, Henry Larbi, said the initiative aims at putting smiles on the faces of the vulnerable, aged, widows, and persons living with disabilities, as well as demonstrating Nana Owiredu Wadie’s unwavering commitment to community support.
Henry Larbi pledged commitment of Kabaka Foundation to continuing developmental and economic empowerment projects in areas of health, education, support for the less privilege groups among others.
The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the kind gesture, praising Nana Owiredu Wadie for his continued support over the years.
Many prayed for blessings upon him and wished him the strength to continue his philanthropic efforts in the years ahead.
Present at the event was Opanyin Kwame Wadie, and Yaa Boatemaa parents of Nana Owiredu Wadie.
During the Christmas, Nana Owiredu Wadie I extended similar gesture to over one thousand vulnerable individuals at Dome community in Accra.
