The people of Kwahu are angry that they have been once again denied cabinet ministerial position by President Akufo-Addo-led New Patriotic Party-led government.
The Kwahus argue that they “give NPP over 80% votes but when it comes to Cabinet and sensitive appointments we are left out. In Kwahu NDC don’t get lots of votes but they always appoint Kwahus in sensitive positions”.
“During the first tenure of His Excellency John Agyekum Kuffuor, he gave Kwahus Eastern Regional Minister and Deputy (ie Hon. Osarfo Mensah, Mrs. Suzy Mensah) at the same time, Deputy Minister of Communications ie Hon. Aggrey Ntim and Deputy Trade Minister (Hon. Afram Asiedu)
In his Second Term still, Kwahus were Maintained as Eastern Regional Ministers( ie Hon. Afram Asiedu and Mrs. Suzy Mensah) and Hon. Aggrey Ntim was elevated to Substantive Minister of Communications.
So what did Kwahus do to Nana Akufo Addo & Bawumia Led Government?
For the Records: President Akufo Addo did not include Kwahus in his cabinet from 2017-2020 and we await to see what he will do” a statement in circulation on social media platforms of Kwahus said.
