Former Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah has been permitted to join the Sudan national team as head coach.
Appiah was named among the four-man Interim Management Committee by the life patron of Kotoko, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II following the dissolution of the board and management at the end of last season.
Last week, news broke out the 63-year-old has been appointed as head coach of the Sudan national team, pending Otumfuo’s approval.
Following a fruitful discussion with the respected King, the former Ghana international has been permitted to join Sudan as head coach.
Despite landing Sudan job, he will continue to serve on Kotoko’s IMC and also proceed to contest for the Ghana FA Exco slot.
