Former Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah will be officially unveiled as the new head coach of Sudan national team on October 8, 2023.
The 63-year-old will pen a three-year deal with the Sudan Football Association and will be tasked to revive the country’s football.
The experienced trainer will appoint his own backroom staff expected to be Ghanaians.
Appiah will be working from Saudi Arabia due to the ongoing unrest in the country.
The Asante Kotoko legend returns to Sudan for the second time having managed Al Khartoum in his previous spell.
Despite landing Sudan job, he will continue to serve on Kotoko’s IMC and also proceed to contest for the Ghana FA Exco slot.
