Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, Rev Prof.Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante has charged leaders in the country to do things that pleases God and not mankind.
He said as a leader, regardless what you do for human not all will appreciate your efforts therefore doing things to please human is impossible.
Rev.Prof.JOY Mante buttressed that the crucification of Jesus Christ despite his good works on earth epitomizes that not all human beings will appreciate what leaders .
He said this Sunday November 20,2022 when addressing congregants at the climax of the Centenary celebration of Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at Kyebi in Eastern region.
Present at the event was President Akufo Addo, and some of his Ministers and appointees and well as Okyenhene Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin and Okyenhemaa Nana Adutwumwaa Dokua.
The Moderator eulogized late Okyenhene Nana Sir Ofori Atta for his vital role in accepting Christianity to Akyem Abuakwa and helping the Presbyterian Church grow despite opposition and persecution of the Church by his predecessor
In his speech,President Akufo Addo assured Ghanaians that the current economic hardship will soon be over .
According to him,his government is implementing the necessary policy interventions required to salvage the situation.
He is confident that with God on his side, the economy will soon recover hence appealed to Ghanaians to relentlessly support him and his government.
