Deputy Lands and Natural Resources Minister, George Mireku-Duker received officials of Ghana Manganese Company (GMC) and AngloGold Ashanti, Iduapriem Mines all operating at Tarkwa in the Western Region on Wednesday, January 19, 2021.
The purpose of the meeting is to amicably resolve a boundary dispute complaint raised by the Ghana Manganese Company.
The deputy minister on behalf of the minister, Abu Jinapor indicated the ministry’s urge to solve the matter as soon as possible.
A Technical Team of Ministry and Minerals Commission Officials are tasked to produce a report within the shortest possible time.
“Government is very committed to continue providing an enabling environment for Large-Scale Mining Companies to thrive” Hon. Mireku-Duker stated.
