H.E. Maher Kheir, the Lebanese Ambassador to Ghana, called on the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI) to discuss potential bilateral trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
The ambassador was welcomed by the 2nd Vice President of the GNCCI, Mr. Stephane Miezan, and the CEO, Mr. Mark Badu-Aboagye.
The meeting focused on ways to strengthen economic ties between Lebanon and Ghana, particularly in the areas of technology transformation, manufacturing, agriculture and business expansion.
During the discussion, H.E. Maher Kheir expressed his gratitude for the longstanding relationship between Lebanon and Ghana and stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
Additionally, he expressed his willingness to facilitate any business partnerships between Ghanaian and Lebanese companies.
Mr. Miezan thanked the ambassador for his visit and assured him of the Chamber’s commitment to promoting trade and investment between both countries.
He highlighted some of the opportunities in Ghana and encouraged Lebanese businesses to take advantage of them.
He also expressed his optimism that the discussions would yield positive results that would benefit both countries.
The meeting ended with the signing of an MOU to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries as well as the exchange of gifts to further solidify the cordial relationship.
