Sven Goran Eriksson, one of world football’s legendary coaches, has died.
Eriksson had a lengthy career that spanned more than four decades, coaching numerous clubs and national teams all over the world.
With Goteborg he won 1 UEFA Cup, 1 Swedish League and 2 Swedish Cups.
With SS Lazio he won 1 Cup Winners’ Cup, 1 European Super Cup, 1 League, 2 Italian Cups and 2 Italian Super Cups. With Benfica he won 3 Leagues, 1 Portuguese Cup and 1 Portuguese Super Cup.
With Roma he won 1 Italian Cup. And with Sampdoria he won 1 Italian Cup.
Eriksson led England at the South Korea-Japan 2002 World Cup, the Germany 2006 World Cup, and Euro 2004 in Portugal.
He was also coach of the Ivory Coast national team at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and of the Mexico and Philippines national teams.
Eriksson passed away at the age of 76.
