Captain of Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities, Fatau Dauda has described the signing of Asamoah Gyan as ‘important’ as they prepare for the 2020/2021 season.
The 34-year-old moved to the moneybags on transfer deadline on a year deal as a free agent.
However, according to the goalkeeper, the arrival of the all-time top scorer for Ghana will help the club in the upcoming season.
In an interview with Angel FM in Kumasi, he said, “I will commend our management for the signing they’ve made this season. I believe they have done what they could and it is up to us to also do our best for the club”
“I think our current squad is way ahead of last season because they recruited seasonal players. Gyan inclusion will help the club a lot in the forthcoming season” he said.
The Ghana Premier League is set to start on November 13 after six months of inactive football.
Legon Cities will take on Brekum Chelsea in matchday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
