Ghanaian International reggae icon, Rocky Dawuni has stressed the need to take a break from sinking too deep into the addictive distraction of social media and start using our valuable energies to focus on our role in manifesting a positive outcome from our current situation.
According to him, the current situation has exposed the need for a systemic overhaul and the need for investment and strengthening of community-based health systems.
He has also called for the need for protecting our land from pollution and curtailing the widespread use of poisonous chemicals and pesticides which has contributed to the contamination of our food sources and loss of natural immunity.
His post on Facebook below:
Let us take a break from sinking too deep into the addictive distraction of social media and start using our valuable energies to focus on our role in manifesting a positive outcome from our current situation …These processes could provide new ideas and help us emerge with renewed strength when the dust settles ….. Our current situation has exposed the need for a systemic overhaul …There is a need for investment and strengthening of community-based health systems…There is a need for embracing and researching nature-based medicines as an integral part of promoting a new culture of wellness in communities…There is a need for restoring our ecosystems by planting more trees and conserving existing forests…There is an urgent need for protecting our land from pollution and curtailing the widespread use of poisonous chemicals and pesticides which has contributed to the contamination of our food sources and loss of natural immunity. There is a need to prioritize the maintenance of soil health and fertility to ensure a sustainable agricultural system that will support many people for generations…There is a need for guarding our clean water sources by keeping our rivers and streams pure and secured…..opposing any ideology that seeks to sell or destroy these scarce resources for profit…There is an urgent need to own up to the responsibility of protecting the diversity of all nature and life forms that coexist with us.
We are all bearing witness to the fact that the greed-driven model of endless economic growth cannot be sustained as a cure for poverty ..Many people are helplessly attached to it in a chronic dependency that has resulted in unconsciously outsourcing their future to colorful political deceptions who only seek to monetize every aspect of Gods creation to serve the agenda of a few.
The choice is firmly within your grasp to restart and change the course of events
