The Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Alban Bagbin, led members and staff of Parliament, to hold a day of national prayers for the coming December elections, on Monday at the Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC) in Kumasi.
In a message, the overseeing pastor of CCC, Pastor Ransford Obeng, spoke on the need for christians to continually pray for Ghana.
He emphasized the need to elect god fearing men into positions of power, to ensure that Ghana receive the leadership it needs, to reduce crimes and vices.
The Rt Hon Speaker gave a message on putting God first, in all that the country does. Speaker Bagbin said trusting God in all things ensures success.
He called on all Ghanaians to not just pray, but also ensure that their actions will ensure peaceful, free and fair elections in December.
Prayers were said for President Nana Akufo Addo, the Rt Hon Speaker of Parliament, the candidates in the coming elections, the electoral process, for peace and for the general prosperity and development of Ghanaians.
