The Omanhene of New Juaben Traditional Area in the Eastern region of Ghana Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III on August 21, 2022, celebrated his second Akwasidae festival on the stool.
This is the first time he sat independently in state at the forecourt of the Palace as Omanahene.
The first Akwasidae was co-chaired by Juabenhene Daasebre Otuo Siriboe III.
Beautiful traditional culture was displayed as divisional and sub-chiefs as well as other tribal chiefs, clans and families paid homage to the Omanhene.
Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III seized the opportunity to appreciate the support of illustrious sons and daughters of New Juaben who continue to support him since his enstoolment.
Daasebre reiterated and urged sub-chiefs and all and sundry to sustain peace and unity in the New Juaben traditional area to stimulate development.
He assured that New Juaben will be great and strong and will rise to its rightful place in socio-economic development and tradition upliftment.
The Omanhene of New Juaben Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III known in private life as Odehyie John Kwadwo Yeboah Gyamfi was enstooled and sworn-in in July 2022 to succeed the late Daasebre Prof. Emeritus Oti Boateng.
Daasebre Kwaku Boateng has since started initiating measures to improve the sanitation situation in the municipality by instituting massive clean-up exercises to precede every Akwasidae celebration.
He recently embarked inspection of some troubled areas in the Municipality in the company of the Municipal Chief Executive for New Juaben South Isaac Appaw Gyasi.
