The report of the Committee on Constitutional, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs on the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill, 2021 was laid in Parliament on Thursday March 30.
This has paved the way for the debates to commence on the controversial bill.
The new development has become necessary after Vice President of the United States made remarks of human rights issues concerned with the possible passage of the bill.
Her Excellency Kamala Harris raised concerns of the intended passage of the bill when she paid an official call on President Akufo-Addo as part of her visit to Ghana and other African countries.
Lawmaker for Ningo Prampam Sam Nartey George disclosed this on his official Facebook page.
