Live Pure Hospital in collaboration with Joy B foundation have organized a free health screening in Koforidua.
The screening which was conducted at the premises of Bryt Fm saw people from all walks of life attend to check their vitals and also seek medications.
Speaking in an interview with Bryt fm reporter, Mujahidatu Mohammed, Dr. John Afedzi explained why the hospital decided to have a free screening for the people of Koforidua.

“Being healthy is a blessing that is often overlooked. The majority of people don’t pay attention to their bodily systems because they constantly assume that just because they are alive, they are healthy. For a variety of reasons, these individuals rarely visit the hospital for checkups. Our goal in being here today is to help them prioritize their health. It’s time for people to prioritize their health over the material possessions we all desire. Because having good health makes one happy”. He stated.
He further explained that, the reason they made the screening free is that variety of test is now expensive, and believes this would help them use the money they would have used for the test to buy medicine that would be prescribed for them.

“The screening has been designed in a way that it starts from your head to your toe, that is a general health screening so that they won’t miss something in their body, and those that would be diagnosed of diabetes and BP would be given medication for free .
Some of the tests are Hepatitis B, sugar level, Diabetes, typhoid, malaria and cholesterol, and prostate for the men”. He stated.
