Dr John Kofi Mensah, the Managing Director of the Agriculture Development Bank (ADB), has summoned Chief Executive Officers of rural banks to deal with clients who have defaulted on bank loans.
Dr Mensah recommended the Chief Executive Officers prosecute the defaulters in court.
Dr Mensah advised all bank managers to check all bank requirements before giving out loans at the Enyan Denkyira Rural Bank’s 39th Annual General Meeting in the Central Region.
Dr Mensah urged the country’s rural bank managers to be cautious since many have decided to take out large bank loans.
Most rural banks, he claims, are on the edge of failure due to bad lending.
