RE-GOVERNMENT IS TAKING CARE OF ALL MEDICAL BILLS OF INJURED VICTIMS OF THE LUKULA CONFLICT; S/R MINISTER
We have taken notice of a radio interview by the Savannah regional minister Hon. Saeed Muhazu granted by Radio Tamale in the early hours of 07/06/2023.
The interview was in respect of the recent disturbances that occurred between the Wasipe Traditional Area which falls under his enclave and that of the Soo Traditional Area which falls under the North East Region.
The Hon. Minister responded to so many intriguing questions by the host which exposed his deficiency in carrying out his duties as a representative of the president in the region, which we are particularly not surprised because he was appointed by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who happens to be the worst president in the history of Ghana.
The Hon. Minister made false claims that the medical bills of the three victims currently on admission at Tamale Teaching Hospital are hundred percent taken care of by the government.
From Day one of their admission till date 08/06/2023 at the time of this response, the government has not given even a pesewa for the medical bills of the victims neither has the Hon. Minister who represents the seat of government in the region paid a working visit to the victims.
We know this because we have been in constant touch with the families and directly involved in their day to day care .
So far, all expenditures incurred at the hospital are being catered for by individuals, some of whom are politicians .There was an appeal for funds launched by Mahama Haruna of Nkligi FM when the families of the victims had difficulties in paying the bills.
We challenge the Hon. Regional Minister to give the evidence of proof of government taking care of the medical bills of the victims on admission.
If indeed the government has released funds to cater for the medical bills of the victims, then someone is hoarding it and the Hon. Minister must let us know how much was released and to whom.
The Hon. Minister can save his face from shame without having to tell lies on air as that will only add to his pile of shame.
The victims deserve better and Hon. Saeed Muhazu can definitely do better by first of all making frantic efforts to visit them at the hospital. Thank you.
