Member of Parliament for Madina, Francis Xavier-Sosu has met with Representatives of Turkish Business Community to finalise plans for the upgrade of the Babayara School and construction of boreholes in selected communities in the constituency.
They also agreed to develop a playground and fence wall for the Babayara School.
This forms part of efforts to improve quality education and provide portable drinking water in line with SDGs 4 and 6 respectively.
Hon. Xavier-Sosu in an interview indicated that his overall goal is to make Babayara School a model basic school in the constituency with all the relevant facilities from ICT, Library, playground, and modern and conducive classrooms, among others.
“It is my hope that these projects will go a long way to address the infrastructure deficit and improve the quality of lives of residents in these areas” he stated.
The MP added “In 2022, we shall embark upon several of these projects in line with my vision to realize a new Madina”.
