Former President, John Dramani Mahama on Saturday, 21st December 2019 participated in the colourful durbar held in Dormaa to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the enstoolment of Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II as Dormaahene.
The anniversary saw the chiefs and people of the Dormaa Traditional Area showcase the richness of Ghana’s culture to perfection in honour of their paramount chief.
Mr. Mahama, currently the flag bearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), commended Osagyefo Agyeman Badu II, not only for continuing the legacies of his predecessor to bring peace and development to Dormaa but also, for his contributions towards development of the Bono region as a whole.
Also, he acknowledged the role of our traditional leaders and the impact they can have on the development of their chiefdoms.
Nana Dormaahene has been a friend and adviser to all our Presidents since the days of President Jerry Rawlings as Mr. Mahama has also benefited from his wise counsel as well.
