Former President Mahama’s perception of massive corruption under the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has been described as a “lie”.
Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has emphasized that, the accusation by the former President as a mischievous way of seeking for public favor in the 2020 elections.
Former President and Flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), had earlier accused the Akufo-Addo led government of condoning corruption in his administration, a situation he claims to be daring to the country’s development.
But the Lawmaker for Ofoase Ayirebi, in responding to the comments on Accra based Okay FM said, Mr. Mahama has taken a stand to be hypocrite to gain sympathy vote just because he wants to be President.
Mr. Oppong Nkrumah added the NPP government is committed to the development of the country; hence there is no way corruption can be condoned under the watch of President Akufo-Addo.
