The 2020 presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is expected to pay a visit to the Bono East Regional Capital, Techiman today December 16, 2020.
After the December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary election, Mr. Mahama and his family together with his running mate and some party leaders last Sunday worship with Ringway Assemblies of God Church in Accra.
He later posted on his Facebook wall that “Together with Naana Jane and our families, we joined the Ringway Assemblies of God Church for fellowship earlier today. He that handles a matter wisely shall find good: and whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he. Proverbs 16:20.”
A statement signed by the Bono East Regional Secretary of the NDC, Mohammed Shamsudeen Ali, said Mr. Mahama will today, December 16, 2020, pay a visit to Techiman.
According to the statement, upon his arrival, he will pay a courtesy call on the Techiman Traditional Council and then have a solidarity visit to the family of those who has lost their lives in the battle to see NDC win power and those who were injured in the same course.
The Regional EC office and the Techiman South Constituency EC office will feel his presence and this visit will accord him the opportunity to interact with the leadership of the party, supporters, sympathizers, and faithful of the party within the region, the statement added.
On Tuesday, 15th December 2020, Mr. Mahama on his Facebook wall said “I had a sit-down with the VOA’s Peter Clottey on issues arising from the flawed results announced by Ghana’s EC and the decisions/ actions of the National Democratic Congress.”
