Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender Rashid Sumaila has named ex-Hearts of Oak goal poacher Mahatma Otoo as the toughest forward he has faced in the Ghana Premier League.
Both players battled on the field together in the Ghana topflight league and MTN FA cup during their time with Kotoko and Hearts respectively.
Mahatma Otoo left Hearts after a successful campaign in 2013 to Sogndal in Norway.
Asked to name the toughest striker faced in the Ghana league, he said, “I will name three strikers, Mahatma Otoo, Gilbert Fiamenyo, and Nurudeen Ali formerly of Aduana Stars but among the three I think Otoo was deadlier than all”
“He gave me tough test in my playing days in Ghana,” he told Bryt FM.
Rashid Sumaila currently plies his trade with Kuwaiti side Al Qadsia.
He has stints with Ebusua Dwarfs and Kotoko before moving for greener pastures.
